Bucks By Design (BBD) believes in the registration process. Our motto is “Fortunes are not found, they are created” and we believe that knowledge leads to the creation of fortunes. We started our program in 1996 so many of our animals are not registered or the animal’s sire was not registered, but our goal is to eventually have all our cattle registered and hopefully be able to have several generations prior to the individual cattle registered so that good decisions can be made by buyers. We believe that genetics are the key to a successful bucking stock breeding program and the registration process helps to ensure the right genetics are being placed in our program. The registration of animals also brings integrity to the bucking stock breeding industry and helps to give a buyer peace of mind that he is getting what he pays for. At BBD, we realize that our future is based on our ability to produce cattle that produce great bucking animals. The fact that we will know with one-hundred percent certainty which sire and dam created every calf will allow us to keep statistics on which genetics are working the best together and therefore make our plans and projections a little brighter as every year goes by.
