Billy Jaynes
 |
Billy comes to the Bucking Bull Industry with a background in rodeo, as well as business. With the bucking bull industry growing in leaps and bounds it is important to remember that two things are key to success in promoting and selling bucking bull genetics; knowledge of the livestock that is the life blood of the sport and business acumen. While Billy is strong in both those areas, he also understand that great customer service and honesty are the only way to have longevity in any business.

Billy was a National Honor Society graduate from Alief Elsik High School. Continuing his education, Billy graduated on the
National Deans List from Sam Houston State University in 1984.

While in College Billy became a Professional Bull rider, so he understands the bucking bull business from both sides of the chute. In 1989 Billy put down his glove and his rigging and turned to being a rodeo stock contractor.

He was a amateur rodeo stock contractor from 1990-1993 and won numerous awards during this time. In 1992 Billy was one of the founders of the CPRA, also known as the Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association. And in 1993 Billy was awarded the Best New Rodeo Producer of the Year award by the International Rodeo Association.

In 1994 Billy decided to take his stock contractor business to the next level and from 1994 to 2000 Billy was a PRCA Rodeo Stock Contractor.

Yet, during this time frame of evolving from bull rider to PRCA stock contractor, Billy didn’t let any grass grow under his feet. While he was taking care of his rodeo business he also ran a very successful collection agency. Starting the collection agency, Certified Recovery Systems, Inc., in 1988 Billy was able to run both his stock contracting business as well as his collection agency.

Getting married to his lovely wife Kay in 1993 changed Billy’s world for the best. Kay has deep roots in the rodeo world, as her dad is a PRCA rodeo judge and her mother was a rodeo secretary, and she understands the ins and the outs of the rodeo world.
|
Kay worked in the nursing field, having earned her Associates Degree in nursing in 1993, until Billy convinced her in 1997 to
help him run the collection agency. In 2000 Billy made a decision to leave the PRCA stock contracting business as the
travel involved really took away from his family time with his wife Kay and his son Jonathon. Billy focused his attention on
CRSI, and with Kay’s help grew the business to employ over 5o employees and serve 400-500 clients.

Selling the collection agency in 2006 was a big step and Billy stayed on to help run CRSI until early in 2007.
Still wanting to work with bucking bulls and knowing the genetics and the business side of the industry,
Billy formed Exclusive Genetics with the partnership of Jerry Nelson of Frontier Rodeo and David Simpson
of Diamond S Bucking Bulls. Exclusive Genetics is home of the Million Dollar Bucking Bull Futurity and
their slogan is “No Truck, No Trailer, No Ranch, No Experience Necessary.”
